Welcome to the Teachers’ Zone

In the Teachers’ Zone you will find examples of how to teach to the Key Stage 2 Framework for Languages. You will see how to embed language learning into the daily routine of the primary school, how to make links with other subjects and how to plan for an integrated approach. Each example video clip comes with a language file to support your language skills and a ‘think piece’ on how to develop your practice.

The material is arranged in themes and each theme has a number of sub-themes.

How to use this material

• You can save the material in My Zone to help you plan your lessons or to support your own professional development.
  
  You can download language files to your iPod or computer and improve your language skills. Find out more on the language support page.
  
  You can print off ‘think pieces’ and use them yourself or in whole school training sessions or for staff development with small groups.
