Celebrating languages

Celebrating languages Language lessons provide a valuable opportunity (…) to celebrate the languages and cultures of all children within the school. (Key Stage 2 Framework for languages, Part 3)

Celebrating children’s achievements is very much part of the ethos of the primary school and language and culture should be a part of this. Schools are offering a variety of opportunities for children to share aspects of their language, heritage and culture within their class and the wider school community.

Whilst celebrations in the form of assemblies or event days have a key role in sharing success, it is also important to ensure that there is ongoing praise for and recognition of children’s learning.
